ABOUT
Adam Madrzyk is an award-winning Polish Canadian cinematographer.
Being a first-generation Canadian, his parents moved to Canada with nothing more than a suitcase in hand. His parents courage and dedication is something Adam admires and cherishes deeply.
Adam recently shot the feature film “A BREED APART” currently in post production, along with feature film “THE BOY IN THE WOODS”, a period piece film adaptation based on the best selling novel by Maxwell Smart which made it’s world premiere in the industry selects program at TIFF 2023.
In addition, Adam received the Best Non-Theatrical Cinematography award from the Canadian Society of Cinematographers (CSCs) in 2022 for his acclaimed first feature film, “THE FAMILY” which premiered at the Busan International Film Festival and is now steaming on Amazon Prime in the U.S.
Adam has extensive experience behind the camera, most notably on his 2nd unit work on the Netflix series “AGE OF SAMURAI” as well as on a handful of award winning dramatic short films, docs and narrative projects over the past years.
Adam is very passionate, driven, and focused on his work. Having an extensive commercial and music video portfolio – Adam has worked with top brands including Nike, Microsoft, Disney, Canada Goose, OVO, Mazda, TD Bank, Ford Motors, and Best Buy and collaborated with artists such as Drake, DJ Khaled, Metro Boomin, Gunna, Amaal, Bakermat and Kiesza. His work has been featured on Netflix, as Vimeo Staff Pick Premieres, earned him a handful of CSC nominations, a nomination from The Young Guns and won accolades at the 1.4 awards.
He is currently resides between Toronto, Los Angeles and Warsaw, Poland.
